Drinks and nuts are soon served after take-off, although the nuts are almost entirely peanuts.
I was pleasantly surprised that there is a warm meal service on this relatively short flight of less than 700 miles.
The shrimp is large, cooked just right, and the seasoning is slightly hot and spicy. I am glad that I booked this lunch time flight!
The flight attendants on this flight is good looking, and provided attentative service throughout the entire flight.
A fluffy pillow is provided for taking a quick nap.
Sooner than I realized, we are lined up for landing at Beijing.
Just as I was hoping not to happen, our plane was directed to remote stands. This could just take any cushion I have in my connection to make me miss my International connection.
The flight attendants called for airport buses, knowing that many of the passengers have domestic and international connections.
Ground supportpersonal showed up soon, but no sign of the buses yet.
The staff made repeated calls to dispatch for the buses, and were anxiously waiting along with the passengers.
Two buses are needed, since the international connecting passengers on CA 985 to San Francisco do not need to reclaim their luggage, and can be directly taken to the international boarding area. Passengers such as myself connecting on other international flights, as well as passengers making other domestic connections have to be taken to the domestic terminal.
Of course, there are always stragglers! Those of us with tight connections boarded the bus as soon as it showed up, and then we have to hurry up and wait for the others that have plenty of time and took their sweet time to get off the plane. We have to all fit into the bus, so we are not going anywhere until everyone is on board the bus.
